Today is a good day

My deceased grandmother always lived with a positive outlook on life. My library of positive notes or nuggets came from her. As we exit the pandemic we are all emotionally distressed from the experience. In my own family, there were no fewer than six relatives that died as a result of covid.  Their deaths were painful, but not attending their funeral added to the pain. Back to my grandmother, who served as my first mentor. I wondered what advice or encouragement would she give me coming out of the pandemic. ” Every day that you wake up and you are on this side of dirt is a good day,” she said to me often. Her mentoring advice is still relative today. If you reading this, you are likely standing on this side of dirt….and that makes today a good day.
